Delete your Kandlo account
Kandlo is operated by Kandlo LLC. You can delete your Kandlo account, and the data attached to it, at any time.
1. Delete in the app — the fastest way
Open Kandlo and go to Profile → Account → Delete account, then confirm. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
2. If you cannot open the app
Email us at support@kandlo.app with the subject Account Deletion Request. Where possible, send it from the email address associated with your Kandlo account — it helps us find the right account.
To protect your account, we may ask you to complete additional verification before we process the deletion request. Deleting an account cannot be undone, so we would rather ask than get it wrong.
3. What deletion removes
Deleting your account removes the Kandlo data linked to you:
- your account and your profile;
- your chart-challenge history and your results;
- your statistics, rating and streaks;
- your Kandles and your achievements;
- your lesson progress and the concepts you have learned;
- your Rapid Fire history;
- your activity list;
- your app settings and preferences;
- your notification registrations, for every device you registered.
Kandlo also asks Clerk, our authentication provider, to delete the sign-in identity associated with your account. Practice charts that nothing else refers to are removed as well.
4. What deletion does not do
Deleting your Kandlo account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Subscriptions are billed by the store, not by Kandlo, and they have to be cancelled in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Do that before or after deleting — but do it, or the subscription keeps renewing.
Deleting your Kandlo account also does not necessarily delete records that third parties hold independently. Apple, Google, our subscription provider and other providers may keep their own records under their own policies or legal obligations. That is separate from Kandlo's own application data, which is removed.
5. How long it takes
Deleting in the app is immediate. For an emailed request, we will process verified deletion requests as required by applicable law and as promptly as is reasonably practicable.
